If you're looking for a cheap direct flight to London, booking your flight to Stansted can be a good way to save on costs. It will often be cheaper to fly to Stansted than City (LCY) or Heathrow (LHR). Stansted is farther from London than both these airports.

The best way to reach central London from the airport

Most people agree the Stansted Express Train is the best way to get to central London from Stansted airport. It departs every 15 minutes during weekday mornings, and every 30 minutes the rest of the day. The first train leaves at 5:30am and the last train leaves at 12:30am. Travel time is usually between 45-60 minutes to reach the city. Tickets cost under 10 GBP.
