Flydubai launched its first flight in 2009 and has since grown to serve more than 130 destinations in 50+ countries, connecting Dubai with both major cities and emerging regional airports. It is often the first UAE carrier to create new routes before the flag carriers, Emirates and Etihad, start scheduled services (if at all).

Flydubai currently operates all its flights from Dubai International Airport (DXB) with plans to move to Dubai World Central (DWC) when the new airport becomes fully operational.

Flydubai hubs

Flydubai flies out of Terminal 2 of Dubai International Airport (DXB), where it houses its central operations and offers integrated transfers with Emirates through a codeshare agreement. It uses a point-to-point model with DXB as either a departure or arrival airport for all its flights.

Flydubai is expected to move to Al Maktoum International (DWC) south of Dubai when the new airport is fully completed.

Flydubai direct flights to Europe

Flydubai does not operate domestic UAE flights. Instead, it focuses on regional and international connections.

Europe is one of its main markets, and Flydubai offers non-stop service to more than 35 European cities.
