Direct Flights with Azul Brazilian Airlines (AD) – Find all destinations
Azul Brazilian Airlines (IATA: AD) is Brazil’s largest carrier by fleet size and destinations served. It's known domestically as Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras or simply Azul. It is renowned for connecting smaller cities in Brazil, though it also operates direct international flights to several countries. You can find all of AD’s non-stop routes on this page using the filter tool.
Azul Brazilian Airlines was founded in 2008 to quickly become one of Brazil’s largest airlines. Although it may sometimes be described as an LCC, Azul does not follow the classic low-cost model. It aims to offer cheaper fares and a flight experience where most extras are available as add-ons, though it has a diverse fleet and targets multiple segments of the market.
Azul, together with its two main competitors, LATAM Brazil and GOL Linhas Aéreas, dominate the domestic Brazilian air travel market.
The Airline serves over 150 destinations, including 137 in Brazil and select international points in the USA, Europe, and Latin America. Its fleet includes over 180 aircraft, primarily Airbus A320-family and A330s for long-haul routes.

Azul’s hubs and operating bases
Azul has three main hubs in Brazil:
Campinas–Viracopos (VCP): This airport, located approximately 95 km from São Paulo, is the airline’s largest.
Belo Horizonte–Confins (CNF): Another major hub near one of Brazil’s largest cities.
Recife (REC): Azul’s smallest, though still significant, hub, located in Northeastern Brazil.
Each of the three hubs provides dozens of direct domestic flights and several international routes.
Domestic direct flights by Azul
Azul Brazilian Airlines captures just under a third of the domestic market in Brazil. It serves over 160 Brazilian cities with a total of over 250 unique routes between them.
Some of the most popular domestic direct flights include:
Campinas (VCP) - Recife (REC): A high-frequency link between the São Paulo region and the Northeast, with both airports being Azul’s hubs.
Campinas (VCP) - Porto Alegre (POA): Major domestic flight route with up to 8 departures per day.
Belo Horizonte (CNF) - Rio de Janeiro (SDU): A busy metropolitan corridor with 33 weekly flights. Azul is the sole operator on this route.
Belém (BEL) - Manaus (MAO): Travel to the heart of the Amazon region with one of the 13 weekly flights operated by Azul.
Rio de Janeiro (SDU) - Congonas São Paulo (CGH): Azul’s busiest direct flight with over 75 weekly departures.
It’s worth noting that Azul frequently markets Campinas airport as São Paulo, even though it’s over 90 km away, and the megapolis has two other busier airports.
Azul direct flights to the United States
Azul operates several transcontinental routes to two U.S. cities, namely Orlando and Fort Lauderdale.
Demand for these flights is driven by tourism in both directions and by the Brazilian diaspora. Azul faces no competition from other airlines on any of these routes.
Here are the most popular direct flights to the US by Azul:
Campinas (VCP) - Orlando (MCO): High-demand leisure route with 9 weekly flights.
Campinas (VCP) - Fort Lauderdale (FLL): Daily service on one of Azul’s busiest U.S. routes.
Recife (REC) - Orlando (MCO): A twice-weekly service on a less popular route.
Belo Horizonte (CNF) - Fort Lauderdale (FLL): Three flights each week.
Other international destinations served by Azul
Azul doesn’t have an international network as extensive as other carriers, but it still serves some key destinations in Europe and Latin America.
Notable direct flights include:
Campinas (VCP) - Lisbon (LIS): Two flights almost every day on this long-haul service between Brazil and Portugal.
Campinas (VCP) - Porto (OPO): A similarly important route to northern Portugal. Operated three times per week.
Campinas (VCP) - Paris Orly (ORY): A daily flight aimed at leisure travelers bound for Central Europe.
Recife (REC) - Montevideo (MVD): A link from Northeast Brazil to Uruguay.
Belo Horizonte (CNF) - Curaçao (CUR): Azul flies four times per week to this tourist hotspot in the southern Caribbean.
Azul is constantly expanding its operations across Brazil and abroad. A non-binding agreement was signed between it and another major Brazilian airline, GOL, in early 2025, which may end up in one of the most significant mergers in the South American aviation market.
