Hubs and operating bases
IndiGo’s main hub is at Indira Gandhi Delhi International Airport (DEL). It’s also its largest base and offers flights to over 80 destinations.
IndiGo also operates bases at the airports of 6 other Indian cities: Bengaluru (BLR), Mumbai (BOM), Chennai (MAA), Hyderabad (HYD), Kolkata (CCU), and Kochi (COK). Via these hubs, the airline can offer a dense domestic network and a growing international one.
IndiGo’s domestic direct flights
Three of every five passengers on domestic flights in India choose IndiGo. This is due to the airline’s cheap prices and frequent departures on some of the country’s most popular routes, namely:
Delhi (DEL) - Mumbai (BOM): India’s busiest domestic route is served by IndiGo 19 times daily.
Delhi (DEL) - Bengaluru (BLR): IndiGo operates 14 flights per day between the capital and the country’s tech hub.
Bengaluru (BLR) - Hyderabad (HYD): 11 daily flights for regional business traffic.
Delhi (DEL) - Chennai (MAA): 9 daily flights between the capital and Tamil Nadu and one of the most popular north-south options.
Mumbai (BOM) - Bengaluru (BLR): IndiGo connects these major business centers with 15 flights daily.
IndiGo International nonstop flights
IndiGo holds strong regional ties in Asia and the Middle East, which are currently its main international markets.
Some of IndiGo’s busiest international routes are:
Mumbai (BOM) - Dubai (DXB): IndiGo’s busiest international link with 4 daily flights and over 300.000 people flown per year.
Chennai (MAA) - Singapore (SIN): A massively popular regional Asian flight with 2 daily flights driven by diaspora and business.
Mumbai (BOM) - Doha (DOH): IndiGo flies thrice daily to the Qatari capital city.
Mumbai (BOM) - Phuket (HKT): IndiGo is the only airline serving this popular leisure route.
Delhi (DEL) - Kathmandu (KTM): 3 daily flights for pilgrimage and tourism between the neighboring countries.
Planned direct flights to Europe
IndiGo has wet-leased Boeing 787 Dreamliners in order to enter the long-haul European market. The airline has already launched two direct routes to Europe in July 2025:
Mumbai (BOM) - Manchester (MAN): Three flights per week on this route, which is already proving very popular with business and leisure segments.
Mumbai (BOM) - Amsterdam (AMS): Amsterdam will be a key airport for IndiGo’s future expansion on the continent, and this thrice-weekly service to Mumbai is only the first step.
IndiGo plans to add direct flights to London and Athens later in 2025.
